We start our Thursday at the Crows Nest in Woodbridge with a short drive to Pinch cafe - located at Maple Farm, East Green, Kelsale, Saxmundham. How's that for an address!.
After excellent Flat Whites and fresh Crullers, we drive the back roads to Southwold - a sea side village with a pier and quaint shops.
Retracing a cycling trip from last year taken by K&A we stop for afternoon tea at Walberswick.
Here we witness a quaint tradition of a small row boat ferry across the estuary captained by a 3rd generation family member.

Another great day starting at the Crows Nest in Woodbridge ( and NOT Crowsnest Pass is a low mountain pass across the Continental Divide of the Canadian Rockies on the Alberta–British Columbia border. Nice boat replicas !! a quantum tunnelling telescope .. a micro bandstand .. a ferry .. and another beautiful stone fence .. I could smell the water looking at the beach !!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I took the shot of the Quantum Tunneling Telescope - knowing you would appreciate the tongue in cheek play on the typical viewer you see at every sea side and mountain resort....they actually had working buttons on the side and scientific accreditation certificates....what a hoot!
