Oct 3 - Aldeburgh - Orford

Our last day in Woodbridge - we head back to Batheaston tomorrow.

We start with a late breakfast at the Crows Nest Loft _ Frittata, fruit, avocado smash, roast tomatoes and asparagus.

We have two destinations today - A tour of the home of Benjamin Britten and coffee at the Pump Street cafe and Chocolatier.

  1. Beautiful gardens and a brick wall ... a Steinway waiting for Bruce to tickle the ivory keys ( maybe a Jon Andersen tune )!! - some books for Fran to look at !! a magnifying glass for the book fonts or perhaps some sleuth work. ( I think Col Mustard did it in the library with a candle holder ! ) stopped by a mouse ! ( this is getting scary ! ) Love the desserts and the breads on display !! and the smell of the chocolates HOLY COW !! only at the Pump Street !!!

Wonder what tomorrow will bring !! CARRY IT ON !!

  2. A very special look into the lives of one of Britains ( and the world ) pre-eminent composers - I felt privileged to be in his home where we worked....and yes, more amazing pastries and coffee to be discovered....I love British FlapJacks ( kind of like our healthy granola bars, but more diverse ) and they have been Everywhere!
