We started the day with coffee and breakfast at UE Roasters in Witney - 10 minutes from our accommodation at the Artist Residence. Excellent cappuccinos and cortados and breakfast offerings.

We then made our way to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock. Home of the 1st Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill, since 1704, and subsequent generations of Churchills and Dukes, 12 of them so far.

  2. Yes indeed....Blenheim is so huge and such an extravagant "gift" from Queen Anne to the Duke of Marlborough ( John Churchill ) who won the decisive battle of Blenheim in 1704, stopping the Spanish Succession.
